sketches in a week

Because of a part time job I had this week which was filled with plenty of free time, lots of cute adorable kiddos running around and being back in a primary school again, I decided to use the ample time I had to come up with these (mostly inspired from my week in sch)! 

First time I ever sketched so much in a few days, I normally get stuck and rip the pages off because what i drew was way too ugly.

So here are some rough sketches I did, improvements needed but well all of it tells of my week, some related, some just about random floating thoughts in my brain.

the last time someone started me on the sketch book idea, let's just say it ended quite fast so this time around it's a new start, a good habit I should and would be keeping. 

Would come up with more sketches and update about it again!

Hushey

Pictures of Hushey, my friend's cocker spaniel, really pretty and adorable dog. Especially when it was drooling at the smell of steak.

TYPAINTING!

Here's a little introduction into typainting which stands for type painting, when broken down.

Created by Ricky Goh since 1973 who was also a self taught artist. Every work is pieced together with a combination of alphabets and symbols from a traditional typewriter. His works range from portratiture, to animals and landscapes.  

So check out the unique work of art, which can't be compared or even that easily mastered and is far beyond words alone...

Singapore Mens Fashion week 2011,ISSUE

For the first time in Asia, and only the third in the world (after Paris and Milan), 

Men’s Fashion Week (MFW) 2011 will be staged in Singapore from 

30 March to 3 April 2011.

The five-day inaugural men’s fashion event will showcase the Autumn/Winter  2011 collections of up to 15 renowned brands from Singapore, the Asian region and internationally.

 

Mananged to get a chance to go for the show by ISSUE from thailand. The collection was designed by Bhubawit Kritpholnara (Roj), Issue delivered a highly conceptualized show and collection using tribal prints and patches of vivid colors on shorts and jackets, embellished with hats and flowers.

The show was definitely a feast for the eyes, with the amounts of patterns, big headgears, patchwork bags and huge flowers on the models.
